This one is a very simple free plugin (LGPL license) which queries a whois server to retrieve informations about a domain. It was made as an example in a tutorial on how to build plugin for Servoy.

It doesn't have any interface and was compiled for java 1.4 so it should be compatible with Servoy 3.5.x and above, and will work in developer, smart and web client.

I thought of releasing it here for those interested in the feature and not so much about how it is done...

Download packages:
- the plugin jar file (rename to whois.jar if necessary then put in your Servoy/application_server/plugin/ folder)
- the signed plugin jar file (rename to whois.jar if necessary then put in your Servoy/application_server/plugin/ folder)
- a simple Servoy example solution (unzip and import)
- the eclipse project (the java sources of the plugin)

There is now a companion Google-Code project where you will be able to submit issues/feature requests and check out the code from SVN
